FIRST AMERICAN BORN AND BRED YOUNG TRAKEHNER STALLION IS APPROVED IN GERMANY! Lord Luciano, dark bay, foaled 5-24-2002, by the 2005 5th place USDF Leading Dressage Sire,Enrico Caruso *Ps*E* out of Lily of the Valley by Unkenruf *Pg*E* In September 2005, Tylord Farm's Lord Luciano flew to Schlieckau, Germany, for preparation for the 30 day performance test conducted at Helmar Bescht's training facility in Schlieckau. On the first day of testing, he received a '9' from the Guest Rider, the highest score given out that day. He also received a '10' on the first day of testing for his Interior/Character/Temperament. Even though they do not "place" the stallions at the 30 day test, Lord Luciano was fifth out of a field of 27. The 30 day test is open to all breeds. Lord Lucinao was the highest placing Trakehner at the testing with his final scores all above '8'. Then on to the Trakehner Spring Approvals which were held in Wickrath, Germany. He was one of three approved, out of the 24 stallions that were presented. Lord Luciano was the crowd's favorite. Lars Gehrmann, Head Breeding Director and Managing Director of the Trakehner Verband, stated, “For the first time in 50 years there will be a young stallion bred outside of Germany entered into our stud books.”
